ADVENTURE TOGETHER - Rivian 2035

"In 2035, Rivian is more than just an automaker; we are the epitome of electric adventure and mobility for everyone."

We designed Rivian's cockpit for the future, focusing on community, nature-friendliness, and connectivity. We imagined a seamless and empowering adventure experience of technology. With a focus on storytelling, we made a short film to demonstrate our designed features.

​Challenge

Create a user experience design tailored for Rivian, an electric vehicle brand with a core emphasis on outdoor adventures, that will remain innovative and relevant over the next decade.

Outcome

In 2035, Rivian stands as a beacon of electric adventure, pushing the boundaries of what it means to explore the great outdoors with vehicles that harmonize with the environment. 

Our design philosophy transcends traditional automotive concepts, integrating the vehicle into the adventurer's lifestyle, fostering a deep connection with nature and a sense of community among users.

  • 360-degree sensors can spot wild animals around and give the driver a heads-up.
     

  • The car cameras can capture and identify wildlife.
     

  • Rivian updates Rivianpedia wildlife database in real time.

  • Users can view various categories of outdoor activities.
     

  • The locations and routes on the outdoor activity map are clear, making navigation easy.
     

  • The activity descriptions are detailed, including local weather, estimated duration, difficulty levels, and user reviews.

  • Real-time updates on the latest activities of nearby Rivian drivers.
     

  • Members of the Rivian Community can add each other as friends and share social updates.
     

  • The map allows a clear view of the locations and activities of nearby social friends.

  • Understanding the unique needs of outdoor enthusiasts allowed us to tailor features that enhance the adventure experience, such as intuitive navigation systems for off-road exploration and community features for shared experiences.
     

  • Eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient technologies were not just preferences but necessities for our audience, aligning Rivian's brand with environmental stewardship.
     

  • Advanced connectivity and user interfaces were designed to complement, not complicate, the user's interaction with nature, making technology a bridge rather than a barrier to the outdoors.
