Yanyi Wang

This project demonstrates my psychological exploration of the social relationship between people and the city. My inspiration came from my four-year working experience in the Beijing CBD. People around me came from other regions in China and around the world, and they complained to me that they felt lonely working in a busy city center away from home. Although there were social networks allowing them to make friends, they still sensed that the understanding of social networks was not true nor could get some resonance and recognition in their hearts.

Therefore, in order to delve into how people as strange individuals in a busy city could have a natural expression of emotions and connect with other strange individuals around, I came up with the idea of designing a physical interactive device.
